On October 27, 2016, Manuel VALLS, French Prime Minister received his counterpart Volodymyr HROÃSMAN at MATIGNON to discuss different political issues. Volodymyr HROÃSMAN (38 years old) was nominated last April Prime Minister by Petro POROCHENKO. He claims hoping that his country (Ukraine) will, in 2017, return to economical growth and its Governement has engaged long term reforms under the surveillance of the IMF which should soon to pay more than a Billion of dollars.

This visit between Manuel VALLS and Volodymyr HROÃSMAN comes just after the Meeting 'Format Normandie' between Ukraine, France, Russia and Germany, so, some points between the two countries might be stressed in regards of a continuing diplomatic relationship mostly when concerning Russia. Volodymyr HROÃSMAN is perceived as a long term ally of the Ukrainian President Petro POROCHENKO. He sees himself as a good Manager and a cautious reformer. His meeting with Prime Minister Manuel VALLS is part of several high level meetings plan in FRANCE.
