USPA NEWS - Jean-Christophe Fromantin, President of EXPOFRANCE 2025 and Pascal Lamy, Interministerial Delegate in charge of the coordination of public actors for the French bid, met Vicente Loscertales, Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), the international organization to get ready.

Jean-Christophe Fromantin, President of EXPOFRANCE 2025 and Pascal Lamy, Interministerial Delegate in charge of the coordination of public actors for the French bid, met Vicente Loscertales, Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), the international organization in charge of world exhibitions. The meeting, which took place in a spirit of both positive and constructive, allowed to make a progress report on the candidacy of France. JEAN CHRISTOPHE FORMANTIN PREDSIDNRT OF EXPOFRANCE 2025 PUSH THE NATIONAL EFFORT TO THE FERNCH CANDIDACY HELPED BY PASCAL LAMY--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jean-Christophe Fromantin and Pascal Lamy reiterated the strong national mobilization around this project, orchestrated by EXPOFRANCE 2025 , an association, state, local communities, business partners, and having already attracted the membership of more than one hundred thousand French in a support committee. They said the work on the different components of the application, mainly the application configuration around the Global Village and theme sections. They recalled that the project of the Global Village is intended to equitably on a site in the Greater Paris all member countries in accordance with the principles of the IBE. They reported on the ongoing developments in the governance of the nomination, which should lead to the creation of an entity bringing together all public and private actors mobilized.---------------------------- For his part the Secretary-General has expressed any interest the IBE to follow the project of France. It has provided a number of tips and recommendations in order to introduce the appropriate time, in the best conditions, the candidacy of France, like other potential candidates, with 169 members of the international organization.
