However, in France, all proceedings and hearings are conducted in the French language, by virtue of the Villers-Cotterets ordinance which instituted French as the language of law. The Minister of Justice was proud to present this symbolically very strong room, for "its desire to strengthen the attractiveness of French commercial justice in international matters" by proudly adding the French side, which according to the Minister, France has benefited of BREXIT, to internationalize international disputes, in a more accessible way with the practice of the English language. "The exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union was a real opportunity for the development of the legal place of Paris", declared the minister in front of the cream of the judiciary.
Minister Eric Dupond Moretti also insisted on the fact that the French courts within the European Union are integrated, despite the barrier of the only language practiced, which is French "The decisions rendered by the French courts circulate freely within the European Union, and this is a considerable comparative advantage as the decisions of the British courts no longer benefit from the European facilitating rules. » and he highlighted the means his Ministry put into this modernization and how it he push the limits for this more attractive Courthouse, for Nothing forbids dreaming, especially since the Minister himself acknowledged during his speech the weight represented by the legal: "the law is an economic sector in its own right, a recent study shows that the legal professions represent 1.25% of the active population, 44 billion euros in turnover, 1, 8% of French GDP, the potential for development exists if our system knows how to be attractive”.
The objective, it will be understood, consists in making Paris the first legal place on the international scene. Minister Eric Dupond Moretti, wished the new chamber "beautiful trials, eminent lawyers, decisions that will set case law far beyond our borders".
This modernization is certainly a first step to be replicated in other litigation sections at the national level, because civil and criminal cases suffer from a lack of financial means to allow overwhelmed magistrates,
The Presidents of the Court of Justice Paul-Louis Netter and the Minister Eric Dupond Moretti, as well as the rest of the delegation, went to admire the Dome, a magnificent symbolic place of this courthouse, after the renovation carried out by the architect Perrot-Richard of the majestic staircase. Indeed, the majestic staircase with double revolution, leading to the upper floors under this dome, lit by the rays of the natural boundary, symbolic of the Renaissance style period.
The French are grateful to Napoleon III, who was the one, who chose the architect Antoine-Nicolas Bailly, and built between 1860 and 1865, this magnificent building that represents the Commercial Court of Paris is one of the most beautiful buildings on the left bank, with this immense dome which overhangs it, surrounded by dazzling statues emblematic of the Commerce of Paris, created by the painter Felix Jobbe-Duval, emblematic of the city of Paris, the arts, the city of Marseille, with the harvest, the city of Lyon for industry and the city of Bordeaux and its harvest. All these sublime works, to signify commerce and justice.

THE MODERNIZATION OF THIS BUILDING IS UP TO THE MANY INTERNATIONAL DISPUTES TO BE SETTLED IN PARIS Obtaining this modern equipment and up to the many disputes to be settled, has been done since 2020, thanks to the approach of the current President Paul-Louis Netter, who has continued tirelessly in his request to political decision-makers and the Minister of Justice. His perseverance paid off, and the first president and the attorney general of Paris took the opportunity to tell the minister that they too wanted equipment of this level. This modernization is certainly a first step to be replicated in other litigation sections at the national level, because civil and criminal cases suffer from a lack of financial means to allow overwhelmed magistrates. For the time being, this chamber handles 200 cases per year, of which, as of June 30, 2022, 65% come from European litigants, 13% from the African continent, 12% from the American continent, and 11% from Asia.
