USPA NEWS - FRENCH MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS LE DRIAN MET WITH MOLDOVIAN COUNTERPART POPESCU
French foreign Affairs Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian met, today April 26, with his Moldavian counterpart, Mr. Nicu Popescu, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The Minister expressed to his Moldovan counterpart his concern and his vigilance with regard to the incidents that have occurred over the past two days in Transnistria. In this context, he reiterated France's full support for the stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova in the face of the risks of destabilization to which it may be subject. The Minister recalled that our support for Moldova, which is particularly exposed to the consequences of the war in Ukraine, will continue in a determined manner, following on from the Minister's recent visit to Chisinau and the Support Platform for Moldova, which we co-chair alongside Germany and Romania.
