USPA NEWS - On the special instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan,
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi returned home after completing his visit to New York with reference to Palestine Peace Diplomatic Mission.

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan and senior embassy officials bid farewell to the Foreign Minister at John F. Kennedy Airport.
The Foreign Minister contacted the Foreign Ministers of the Muslim world and various regional countries on the deteriorating situation in Palestine and invited them to adopt a joint strategy to prevent the ongoing atrocities on unarmed Palestinians.

At the emergency meeting of the OIC Foreign Ministers' Executive Committee on Palestine, the Foreign Minister made clear Pakistan's position on the situation in Palestine.

The Foreign Minister contacted the Foreign Ministers of the Muslim world and various regional countries on the deteriorating situation in Palestine and invited them to adopt a joint strategy to prevent the ongoing atrocities on unarmed Palestinians.

During his brief stay in Turkey, the Foreign Minister met with Turkish Foreign Minister and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Accompanied by the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Palestine and Tunisia, the Foreign Minister arrived in New York where he addressed the General Assembly on May 20 and expressed the sentiments of the heartfelt Pakistani nation.
During his visit to New York, the Foreign Minister met with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Maldives at the UN Headquarters.

In New York, the Foreign Minister met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Security Council President Ambassador Zhang Jun and General Assembly President Vulcan Bozker, and stressed the need for a just and peaceful solution to the Palestinian and Kashmir issues.

The emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Palestine, Turkey, Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, and the Maldives.

The Foreign Minister met with the New York-based Pakistani community, influential businessmen, and youth and briefed them on the Government of Pakistan's priorities.

During his brief visit to New York, the Foreign Minister spoke to various local and international media representatives and highlighted them.
